Idrees Muhammad-Poston

Age 18

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

He hoped to start a charity

He had submitted his profile online to become a contestant on “The Fashion Hero,” a reality TV show modeling competition. He dreamed of a career as a professional model and singer.

A loving boy with eight siblings, he described himself as happy, creative and funny. In his application for the show, he promised that, were he to win, he would “start a charity for the low income community” and for children with cancer.

On Jan. 20, 2019, Idrees Muhammad-Poston, 18, was shot, allegedly by a family member, in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He died in the hospital later that day.
