Hannah Ronyae' Bell

Age 15

Los Angeles, California

She was with mom, getting burgers

She wanted to “ring in people’s head(s),” like the song "Jingle Bells." "Respectfully feisty" with golden hoop earrings, she was a student at Santee Educational Complex who bonded with the AmeriCorps team that ran its after-school City Year program.

You are responsible for the little gray hair in the back of my head; but it's that attitude and sass that drew people to you,” a team leader wrote.

Hannah Ronyae' Bell, 15, was shot outside a burger restaurant in South Los Angeles on April 27, 2018. According to her brother, her last words were “I got shot, mama. It burns.”
