Friends remember loving and supportive teen

One friend described him as a brother. “He was my crush, bestfrann, ride... backbone, right hand.” His nicknames: Vonnie, Gio, lil vonnie trt.

On Dec. 21, 2018, a concert was held in Milwaukee’s All Peoples Church to remembered children whose lives were cut short by guns. He was one of eleven young people honored that day.

GeVonnie Frazier, 15, a ninth grader at Transition High School, was shot while riding in a car on Interstate 41 near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was Sunday night, Mother’s Day. He died two days later. “I pray that our family is given peace to grieve,” a family member wrote in the guest book at the funeral home.
