Gerardo Trevino

Age 17

Avondale, Arizona

He liked to post motivational quotes

He projected intense optimism. One of the many inspirational quotes he posted to his Facebook page simply read, “Stay positive.” He carried that attitude with him throughout his life. He tried hard not to let the negative energy of others affect the way he felt.

His cheery demeanor translated to his real-life relationships, as well. One of his friends remembers “nothing but laughs” on their group chat calls.

On July 6, 2018, Gerardo “Daniel” Trevino, 17, lost his life to gunshots fired in his hometown of Avondale, Arizona.
