Felipe Hernandez

Age 17

Dallas, Texas

Handful of cash, lost on Thanksgiving

He passed the money from one hand to the next, showing off to a shaky video camera: $10s, $20s, $100s. In the post on a friend’s Instagram, he wore a Dallas Cowboys lanyard around his neck.

He and his friend were often pictured with their arms around each other’s shoulders, posing with handguns, marijuana, or wads of cash.

Felipe Hernandez, 17, was shot on Nov. 22, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. He was found on the pavement outside Skyline High School and was taken to Baylor University Medical Center, where he died. It was Thanksgiving morning.
