Age 12

Timmonsville, South Carolina

Survived tumor but taken by bullets

She was a kind little girl with a beautiful smile who “[e]verybody loved to death”. A seventh grade student, she had already survived a brain tumor and endured two hip replacements. She was a member of the Favor of God International Worship Center.

It was a warm summer night and she was playing with her cousins in the yard at her grandmother’s house. An unidentified car drove up in front of the house. She ran for cover.

Fantasia Shy'anna Jackson, 12, died from a gunshot wound suffered in a drive-by shooting in Timmonsville, South Carolina, on Aug. 25, 2018.
