Emily Lorraine Queen

Age 9

Lamar, Arkansas

A rosy-cheeked girl, full of life

In the photo, she has curly brown hair, the same color as her eyes. A bright pink ribbon  touches her rosy cheeks, her skin like a canvas for a life to come.

A family friend described her as “highly intelligent, surprisingly funny, and always full of life.”

Emily Loraine Queen, 9, was accidentally shot and killed by her father on Nov. 17, 2018 in Lamar, Arkansas. Police said he was in his truck and Emily was standing in the yard of their home when his rifle discharged and she was struck by a bullet. No charges were filed.
