D'Marcus Antwyne Hooper Jr.

Age 17

Richmond, Virginia

He always found reason for celebration

“Ma, party with you?” he asked his mother. For his 18th birthday, and his mom’s 38th birthday, he wanted to rent a VIP venue in Florida, featuring exotic dancers, a personal security guard and a celebrity DJ.

His mom called him the “prince of turn up.” There was always something to celebrate, especially with his three younger siblings and friends in Newburgh, New York.

D’Marcus Antwyne Hooper Jr., 17, was shot in the head on March 7, 2018, in Richmond, Virginia. He died at VCU Medical Center two days later.
