Age 18

Cleveland, Ohio

Never heard the camera click again

In photos, he showed the same goofy smile that he had when he was a kid. He wore grey windbreakers, Abercrombie and Fitch T-shirts, and zip-up sweatshirts, often paired with sweatpants or acid-wash jeans.

He took pictures with family and friends, wrapping his arms around the ones who loved him most. He had a relaxed presence, often posing with his hands in his pockets.

On Aug. 24, 2018, Devin D'shawn Allen, 18, died after being shot while driving a stolen car in Cleveland. He was taken to University Hospitals, where he was put on life support until his death.
