He dreamed of going to college

Just 16 years old and the third of seven children, he was already a beloved brother, cousin, son, and uncle. He enjoyed many sports, from running track to playing football. 

“Professional football player” still sits playfully on his Facebook page, demonstrating the limitless fashion in which young people dream. He wanted to attend Virginia Commonwealth University.

Demon’ta L. Faircloth was shot twice in a triple shooting on Jefferson Street in Portsmouth, Virginia, on Oct. 2, 2018 He died during surgery.
