Family misses his home-cooked meals

The Fairfield Central High School student was outgoing and played outside with the neighborhood kids, who would often come over to the house to hang out with him, his father, Darius Robinson, said.

A creative young man, he enjoyed cooking at home and at his job at Italian Gardens. He always had a new recipe to share with his brother and father. He hoped to pursue a career in art; he’d been drawing people, landscapes, and cartoons since he was a kid.

DaMontay Darius Wheeler, 17, was shot and killed on August 22, 2018 in Drawdy Park, in Winnsboro, South Carolina.
