Cisco Vandelley Knightner Jr.

Age 17

Columbia, South Carolina

He wanted to join the Army

He was the eldest of 12, No. 25 on the Airport High School football team, the Eagles. He wanted to join the Army.

“[He] would walk in a room and he would light it up,” his mother said. “It could be a funeral and he would make you smile regardless.”

Just after midnight, he and two teens were playing video games when an argument broke out. Cisco Vandelly Knightner, Jr., 17, was shot in the head and died on Feb. 17, 2018, in Columbia, South Carolina.
