Autumn Rayne Bartle

Age 14

Croydon, Pennsylvania

Short story written. Short-lived life.

She wrote with a delicateness. She wrote with refinement. She wrote with suspense. She wrote with emotion. She wrote all the time.

An eighth-grader at the Cyber Charter School, she met many friends playing online video games. One acquaintance, Seltie, wrote that she was “a bursting and radiant spirit all in all.” The ending of one of her short stories, Untitled, goes, “she sunk to the ground, the aura of the room now cold to the bone.”

Autumn Rayne Bartle, 14, was stabbed and shot on March 30, 2018, in Croydon, Pennsylvania.

A 20-year-old cousin who shared her home was found with a self-inflicted gunshot to the neck and charged with stealing two guns from her father.
