His short life was long on “could have beens”: He was a young man with immense potential. To his mother, “the light of her life.”

He worked on the re-election campaign for Pennsylvania state Rep. Margo Davidson and at a local Wawa convenience store. His work ethic inspired others.

Armand Isaiah Fennell, 17, was shot and killed on July 7, 2018, in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, while trying to escape a fight at a house party. “Dozens of people” saw what happened; police called it “a disgrace” that none came forward. Then someone did. The suspect they arrested was 21 years old.
