Arkests Raymon Grant

Age 17

Kansas City, Missouri

His truck was in the driveway

He was a student at DeLaSalle Education Center, a school that offers students “another, and sometimes last, opportunity to complete their high school education.”

His mother had already bought his graduation gift, a maroon-colored Chevy Suburban SUV. Though he wasn’t allowed to drive it, he liked to sit inside and listen to the engine. He also liked playing basketball, despite a heart condition that required him to have a pacemaker.

Arkests Raymon Grant was shot and killed at 7:45 p.m. outside his home on Wabash Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri. Emergency medical technicians pronounced him dead on the sidewalk.
