"She was a nice little girl; she used to give me a lot of things to go to school with," her friend Rayoena Cobb, 8, said. "Last time I was playing with her on the porch we got to make words up."

Amerie Jones-Henderson, 10, was shot by her mother in a murder-suicide on June 29, 2018 at their home in Indianapolis.
