She will live on through strangers

She was a senior at Frederick Douglass High School, loud and full of life. After her classmates learned about her death, they conducted two weeks of random acts of kindness for her. Everyone knew her as “Lucy.”

She was found shot in an apartment complex with several other teenagers. Authorities aren’t sure if the shooting was accidental.

Alisa BryAnn Reed died from a gunshot wound in Lexington, Kentucky, on Jan. 19, 2019. She was 17 years old. Her aunt says her organs will be donated to help “impact strangers in a big way.”
