Never got to attend beauty pageant

Her warm, wide smile revealed pearly white teeth that contrasted with the dark brown curls resting on her shoulders. The girl in the photo had recently signed up for a beauty pageant.

“It was a pleasure seeing her beautiful smile everyday as she got on the bus,” Christie commented on the GoFundMe page. “She had the biggest heart of any child I know. [She was] always loving and caring of others.”

Sara Elaine Hill, 14, of Angier, North Carolina, was home-schooled at North Carolina Virtual Academy. She died of a rifle wound in a home on Sept. 24, 2018.
