Snapchat video caught his last moments

He had deep brown eyes and a sweet smile. “We talked to each other a lot, and he was like a cool person to me,” a schoolmate said

He was “the epitome of a free spirit,” always joking and smiling with others, a GoFundMe page would later say. Just moments before it happened, Snapchat would catch his playful spirit, he and a friend pointing a gun at a screen.

Chad Carless, 17, was accidentally shot and killed by a friend on Dec. 31, 2018 in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Horrified, his 15-year-old friend then shot and killed himself.
